Garment IO
A smart-manufacturing platform helping garment factories digitise operations, track production and monitor performance from real-time shop-floor data.
Employer-owned system. The source is not public.
Overview
Garment IO replaces paper-based shop-floor tracking with a live picture of production: what's being made, on which line, at what rate, and where the bottlenecks actually are — sourced directly from shop-floor devices rather than end-of-shift manual entry.
Architecture
A Node.js API and a set of PHP/Laravel services split responsibilities by domain, with Python and Flask handling data-processing work that benefited from Python's ecosystem. MongoDB stores the high-frequency device event stream; MySQL holds the structured operational and reporting data. Redis caches the dashboards' read-heavy queries, and Nginx fronts the whole stack.
Engineering
Built the operational dashboards factory managers use to track production in real time, and the IoT device integrations that feed them — turning raw shop-floor signals into the metrics a factory floor actually acts on.
